At Home Physiotherapy
What is the service?
Our service gives individuals the opportunity to access a specialist physiotherapist in their own home environment and at a time that's convenient for them, morning to night, 6 days a week.
We can carry out an initial home assessment and develop appropriate treatment plans for people with various conditions. We are able to scheduled appointments immediately and are covered by all the major insurance companies.
Why the “At home Physiotherapy” service has been developed?
Our service was initially devised to provide a solution for patients who are unable to leave their homes for treatment or for those who wished to be reviewed in their houses to ensure they are safe and confident in their primary environment.
However, the service is also ideal for self-funding clients who would benefit from physiotherapy input but can't easily get to the clinic for various reasons in their a busy lifestyle or due to travel constraints.
Who can benefit from the service?
- Individuals with neurological conditions; such as Multiple Sclerosis, Strokes, Parkinson's Disease or Polyneuropathy.
- The elderly population; especially those with reduced "normal" daily function and confidence in their mobility.
- Falls patients; those fallers and their family member looking for falls prevention advice and exercises.
- Recently discharged patients from hospital; specially paced physiotherapy input can aid them in maximising their recovery.
- Post Orthopaedic surgery patients; the long success of certain surgeries are highly dependent on effective post op treatment.
- Suffers with longstanding illnesses or chronic conditions; clients who require maintenance input to help reduce future complications.
How can you access the service?
Bookings for our At home Physiotherapy service can be made through the Body Factory clinic 6 days a week.
Our service covers all areas local to the Body Factory clinic, in Harrow. Plus dependent on availability allowance can be made for urgent bookings further afield.
We have set therapy prices for self-paying clients of £85 for an initial assessment and £60 for follow up treatments. However, if you have medical insurance and clinically approved to need home physiotherapy you can get authorisation for At home Physiotherapy via your insurance provider, as we are covered by all insurance companies.
